Quick and Easy Ways to Becoming Greener from the Inside Out
Get more raw veggies and fruits into each meal. This will not only crowd out the nutritionally deficient foods but will provide your body with powerful nutrients and vitamin complexes as well.
Never microwave. Microwaving kills vital nutrients and heats up plastic containers so that they off-gas into your food.
Filter your tap water. Harmful chemicals like chloroform, cysts, chlorine by-products, pesticides, micro-organisms, nitrites, fluoride, chemical compounds, pharmaceuticals and heavy metals can lurk in tap water.
Buy a spray bottle and try one of our home made solutions to green clean.
Replace all of your toxic cleaners with “greener” versions.
Replace plastic that touches food or beverages with glass, ceramic or stainless steel.
Bring your filtered water in a steel or glass water bottle with you everywhere you go. This will keep you from grabbing a soft drink when out and about.
Read all labels on toiletries before you buy.
Read all labels on food packaging before you buy.
Do most of your grocery shopping on the perimeter of the store to avoid processed foods that are typically located in the center of the store.
Use organic pest control in your home and yard when needed. There are several wonderful books and articles on this subject.
