Weekly Home Spa for Mom

Posted by Stacey Stultz on Sep.14, 2008

Moms are cooks, tutors, housekeepers, personal shoppers and chauffeurs that are on-call 24/7. I love every minute of it! A weekly Home Spa Treatment keeps me on my toes and out of the expensive day spas.

To make your own Home Spa, you’ll need a few things:

  • 1 or 2 hours of quiet time after putting children to sleep
  • favorite music and tall glass of water
  • facial cleanser, facial scrub or mud mask
  • nail clippers, polish and nail file
  • tweezers and eye brow brush
  • foot soak, foot scrub or foot file
  • favorite essential oils for bath
  • bath soak and course sea salt for a body scrub
  • handled body scrubber
  • deep hair conditioner
  • night facial cream or aloe vera gel
  • tea bags or cucumber slices for eyelids

Simple Home Spa Routine

  • First, wash face with a good facial cleanser and then facial scrub or mask.
  • Follow with a little eye brow plucking.
  • Soak in bath tub with your favorite essential oil (tea tree oil and lavender oil are my favorite).
  • Scrub with body scrubber and mild soap.
  • Relax in tub w/ tea bags or cucumber slices on eyes after adding a deep conditioner to hair.
  • Salt Scrub body with one cup of course sea salt and a little water for a paste.
  • Start at toes and work up with circular motions. This can be your foot scrub!
  • Shower out conditioner and finish with night cream or aloe vera gel on face and neck.
  • For dry skin, use a few drops of olive oil as a moisturizer, towel off excess.
  • Trim, file and polish nails.
  • Grab a good book and go to sleep!
