This Mother’s Day, treat yourself and the planet at the same time with a Mother’s Day celebration that’s good for you and the Earth.
Pedicure
Walking more and driving less is good exercise and cuts down on tailpipe emissions, but you need healthy feet for all that walking around. Pedicured feet aren’t just for looks. Professional pedicures can reduce ingrown toenails that can make walking painful, and keep your foot circulation and muscle tone up. Just make sure the salon or spa uses proper sanitation, or give yourself a home pedi. Skip the paraffin dip, though. Paraffin is a petroleum product.
Vegetarian Brunch
When you’re going out for Mother’s Day brunch, check out VegGuide.org for vegetarian, vegan-friendly and vegan restaurants near you. The site provides user ratings of the restaurants and summaries of the vegetarian and vegan options available.
Live Plants
Greenery brightens up any room with pretty, air-scrubbing foliage and pretty colorful flowers. Choose a plant that is suited to your climate, you have the option of enjoying it indoors or planting it out in the garden.
Sustainable Cut Flowers
Cut flowers are pretty, but often treated with chemicals and shipped long distances. As with many commercial agricultural products, the treatment of growers and harvesters can also be an issue of concern. If you would like to enjoy a cut flower arrangement for Mother’s Day, or any celebration, look for a florist that uses Veriflora-certified flowers that are grown sustainably, and with attention paid to being kind to both the environment and workers throughout the flower supply chain. Online, you can order organic, sustainable flowers from OrganicBouquet.com.

I believe avoiding prepared foods will be the first step for you to lose weight. They can taste excellent, but packaged foods have got very little vitamins and minerals, making you try to eat more simply to have enough energy to get through the day. In case you are constantly ingesting these foods, changing to cereals and other complex carbohydrates will make you to have more vitality while feeding on less. Thanks alot : ) for your blog post.
